What is Street Art?
STREET ART is a tailor made holistic art therapy initiative, designed for young artists we meet at the skateparks and shopping centres. Each week participants are taught a new style of artwork by a local guest artist.
The final art piece is a collaborative mural at the Elizabeth South Community Centre empowering students to give back to their community.Artwork is then exhibited and sold on canvases and through a greeting card collection in collaboration with social enterprise, Noteworthy cards. Noteworthy’s mission, “to inspire people to love generously through words of encouragement while funding life-changing gifts for people suffering in poverty.” is echoed and achieved throughout the initiative.
Streetlight volunteers connect with 16 young people on Thursday’s and Saturdays at the Elizabeth South Community Centre for 9 weeks for art, food & community
We have partnered with several local artist around Adelaide to provide young people with art skills and techniques
